Lamberts Commitment
Located in Bavaria, Lamberts' deep commitment to the environment is evident throughout their 1,000,000+ square foot factory.
RECYCLED GLASS. All glass manufacturers recycle glass broken during the course of factory production. Incorporating specialized screening and sorting systems, Lamberts also utilizes a large percentage of post-consumer glass recycled from the municipal waste stream.
OXYGEN FIRED MELTING FURNACE. Lamberts' advanced oxygen-fueled cast glass furnace is the only one of its type in Europe. The ultra-clean burning oxygen-fuel mix reduces nitrogen oxide emissions by a factor of 5 when compared to conventional air-fuel burning furnaces. Lamberts specialized cooling ponds, containing natural plants and fish, remain clean and algae free, eliminating the need for chemical additives.
FILTERING SYSTEMS. A sophisticated system of electrical filters reduces particulates in waste gasses generated by the glass melting process. The resulting emissions are substantially below strict established air quality regulations.
RECYCLABLE PACKING MATERIALS. Packing methods are carefully monitored to ensure maximum utilization of recycled materials throughout the factory.
