AIA CES Names Bendheim Approved Continuing Education Provider
Channel Glass Wall Systems Program Qualifies for AIA and State HSW Credit
Passaic, NJ - June 20, 2008 - S. A. Bendheim was recently named a Continuing Education Systems (CES) registered provider by the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The company's first program for AIA and state credit focuses on Channel Glass Wall Systems. Participation in this one-hour program is free-of-charge and earns industry professionals one Health, Safety and Welfare learning unit (1 HSW LU).
The Channel Glass Wall Systems course is available to architects, designers, and other building professionals as an in-office presentation where the company has local representation. Programs will also be held at Bendheim's New York City Showroom, located at 122 Hudson Street in TriBeCa. The course is also available online as a self-study program, and can be accessed at any time through www.bendheimwall.com. In addition to AIA and state HSW credit, the online version of the course qualifies for continuing education credit by thirteen other professional organizations, including Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), American Institute of Building Design (AIBD), and American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

The course titled "Channel Glass Wall Systems" (AIA CES #BWS081) offers an overview of the structural properties and design benefits of channel glass wall systems. It includes sections on performance; application; safety glazing; tests, standards and certifications; as well as studies of channel glass in LEED and "green" installations.
